Erath, Louisiana, is a residential community of approximately 2,100 residents located in Vermilion Parish, about 7 miles east of Abbeville and 26 miles south of Lafayette, Louisiana.

Founded in 1899, we are a small community rich in Acadian culture. We take pride in our community and hold dear our family.

Visit us during our Fourth of July Celebration, where we celebrate the birth of our nation. Our celebration is one of the biggest and best in the area, and was featured on Good Morning, America as "one of most interesting events in America."

The new Erath Fire Department opened recently.  See photos here!
